'Villagers need not worry over data collection'


Addressing a news conference on Thursday, Anthony said that according to a notification of 1930, which was traced by the forest department in August last year, 1,600 hectare in Lingapura, Ravuru, Hiluvalli and Haledanivasa villages come under minor forest area.

He said that large part of the said area had been submerged and forest and revenue department had allotted large areas of remaining land for agriculture and various other purpose. This shows the negligent attitude of these departments.

Neem manure
Anthony said that the neem manure distributed by horticulture department at subsidised price for cultivation of pepper is of substandard quality. He said that manure which is available at Rs 650 in the market is being given at Rs 750 and urged intervention of DC.
