Former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa said that he was mentally in confused state of mind and he would not speak anything about the State government.

“If I speak  wrong motives will be attributed to it. This time my ambition was to present the budget. But I did not get a chance and I am terribly disappointed because of this,” he said expressing his anguish.

The former chief minister was speaking  after inaugurating the renovated Veerabhadreswhara temple, the newly built Kumbaleshwara temple and the religious awarness programme organised by he Kellengere villagers in Arsikere taluk on Thursday and said the chief minister’s post has always haunted him.

Not even a single day I was allowed to function properly. If a tree has grown fully in the forest, they want to chop down the root itself. If a tree gives a fruit then they will throw stones at it, he said, describing the mental agony he was undergoing.

He said he was the first chief minister to ban illegal mining in the State. Even then a conspiracy was hatched to hurl allegations against him. However, he said he was committed to the verdict in the court.

“I wanted to visit religious places from a long time. I want to move from darkness to light. Now I am getting the opportunity. I have climbed the steps of the Jenukal Siddeshawara Swami temple with all devotion. However, I have left the issue of the Cabinet expansion to the chief minister,” he said.

Ujjain Saddaharma peetha jagadguru Abhinava Siddalinga Rajadeshikendra Shivacharya Swami, K M Shivalinge Gowda and Shrishaila Jagadguru Channasiddarama Panditaradhaya Shivacharya Swami also spoke.

Handloom Development Board chairman M D Lakshminarayan, former legislator K P Prabhakar, A S Basavaraju and BJP leader J Sipura Jagadish were present.
