BSY lacks political will, says Datta

He said Yeddyurappa, who was famous for his revolutionary attitude and commitment to his words during his days in the Opposition, was singing a different tune after becoming CM.

Datta took full advantage of the CM’s presence at the Council to paint a sarcastic and damning picture of Yeddyurappa’s change in stance on several key issues after coming to power. The JD(S) MLC recalled Yeddyurappa’s comments during his days as Leader of the Opposition on rural development and his stance on the international airport and the NICE project.

Datta also alleged that during the JD(S)-BJP coalition rule, the then Deputy CM did not allow the government to adopt a Bill, drafted by Rajya Sabha member M Rama Jois, to take back the NICE project into the government’s fold.
