'Academy will bring new vachanas to light'

Addressing the inaugural programmes of Taluk Vachana Sahithya Academy on Tuesday, he said that Academy is functioning actively in 12 districts in the State. “Vachana programmes and workshops will be organised identifying the people who have made considerable work in the field of vachanas in recent times,” he said.  MLA D S Suresh said that there are good number of Vachana litterateurs in the taluk itself. The taluk has the ‘Gadduge’ of Akkanagamma and the environment here is conducive for literature on the whole, said Suresh.
