Man booked for murder

A case of murder was registered against a man for allegedly setting ablaze his one-and-a-half year-old daughter today, police said.

While the child, Chandana succumbed to her injuries, the mother Asha (27), who also suffered serious burns, has been admitted to a government hospital.

Police have launched a hunt for the accused Venugopal.
