FIR against SP MLA

An FIR has been filed against Samajwadi Party MLA Mahesh Narain Singh on Tuesday for allegedly threatening an official of a police outpost in Allahabad.

Police said the FIR was lodged after the outpost’s in-charge filed a complaint and informed his superiors.

On Saturday, Singh made a phone call to Harvansh Yadav, who is the in-charge of Allahabad’s Saidabad police outpost, and allegedly threatened him over a land dispute case. Yadav said Singh wanted him to toe the MLA’s line in the case.
