Pothole menace dots CB Pur roads

 Even though the pre-monsoon showers has brought relief to farmers, the woes of people have aggravated due to unrepaired roads that are dotted with potholes.

As soon as the residents step out of the house, they have to battle the polluted waste water. Motorists here complain about the inconvenience and increasing risk of accidents.

Sadhumutt Road, New Bus Stand Road, the road near Chanaiah Park and surrounding roads are extremely chaotic due to this.

The heavy downpour in the City on Saturday, resulted in a mess with water clogged at different levels.

The motorists and car drivers have to manoeuvre through the roads, battling to reach their destinations.

The heaps of garbage deposited at different places have posed serious health hazards to the people.

Speaking to Deccan Herald, a resident, Sundaramurthy said, “The roads near our house is in a dilapidated state. During summer, it is the problem of dust that haunts us and during rain it is clogged water.”

Another resident, Lakshman of Sudha Mutt said “Many religious programmes take place in this area, but the roads here remain unrepaired.”

He said that heavy rainfall in June will aggravate their problems before which things have to be fixed.
