Ch'nagar drops to 7th place

The district has attained seventh position in State with a result of 79.65 per cent.

With 70.46 per cent last year, the district stood fifth. Though there is increase in result, the district has dropped in position.

Among 5,386 students who attended the examination in the district, 4,290 have passed. As usual, girls have excelled. About 71.18 per cent of girls and 57.59 per cent of boys have passed in the examination.

Among 892 students from Science stream, 570 (63.9 pc) have passed. Among 3,086 students of Arts stream 2,436 (79.81 pc) and 1,275 (89.28 pc) students among 2,463 of commerce stream have passed.
