As price of petrol is getting dearer with frequent hikes, the days are not far when people would be forced to look for alternatives. What if, the love for retaining their favourite two-wheeler forces people to tow their vehicles.

That’s exactly what the activists of Mysore Kannada Vedike, led by president S Balakrishna, did — highlighting the plight of the common man in the wake of recent revision in petrol price. 

An activist on a bicycle, pulled the motorcycle on a push cart, with the help of a rope, being cynosure of all eyes. Adding to the continued protests, on the third day, the activists of the vedike, who staged a protest demonstration in front of the office of the deputy commissioner, alleged that it’s due to the inactiveness on the part of the UPA-led Central government, the nation was witnessing frequent hike in petrol price. 

The situation could have been checked if the public transport was encouraged rather than luring people to buy own vehicles.
