I'm not trying for Prez post: Karunanidhi

 Veteran DMK president, M Karunanidhi on Sunday ruled out throwing his hat for President’s post, in the forthcoming polls to the highest constitutional office.

Categorically denying reports in a section of the Tamil press here that he’s “eyeing” on the President’s post, country’s most coveted post, Karunanidhi termed it as media mischief”, against which the Dravidian Movement leader, late Periyar, had warned several decades back.

“I know my height and I have said this several times,” Karunanidhi wittily retorted to the report, dubbing it as baseless. “There is no such move by the DMK, nor has any DMK MP in Delhi lobbying for my name”, Karunanidhi added.
