A drunkard staged a suicide drama by climbing atop a mobile tower at KP Agrahara to protest against the police for booking “baseless cases” against him.
Prasad, 30, was booked for a theft case on Sunday night. Miffed by the police action, Prasad, in an inebriated state, climbed the mobile tower on Monday afternoon, raised slogans against the police and threatened to commit suicide. Passersby called the police and fire department.
His mother was also brought to the spot to convince him to come down. Finally, a few policemen climbed the tower and brought him down.
A case of attempt to suicide has been registered against Prasad.
