Abhaya case accused seek action against TV channels

The duo on Tuesday petitioned the Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate separately seeking an inquiry into the ‘leaked’ narco analysis CDs to the TV channels.  Malayalam news channels had aired the CDs on Monday within minutes of the accused getting the same on the orders of the Ernakulam CJM. The CDs showed all three admitting their role in the murder.

Sr Sephy said that none of them had handed over the CDs to anyone. Apart from them, the CDs were in the possession of the court and CBI only. The court while pointing out that it had stopped the telecast issued notices to the CBI on the matter and put off the case to September 22.
