DUSU seeks free online registration

Last Updated 06 June 2012, 20:43 IST

Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) demands a free online registration policy to make the new admission system student friendly. It will also be on a sit-in protest on Thursday for the purpose.

“We have been hearing about the problems in online forms. Also, a system should be made free so that it can reach out to all. The online form costs Rs 100. In addition to this, Rs 35 is deducted as other charges,” said a DUSU member.

The students’ union members said those who apply online shell out Rs 30-40 more as internet cafe charges. “Several cases have been reported about glitches in the online registration and the related charging of fees through various banks. This has resulted in more time consumption in the admission process,” said a member.

National Students’ Union of India is organising free crash course for law aspirants who will be giving
Delhi University’s (DU) law entrance test exam on June 10.
