<p> Former Lok Sabha speaker P.A. Sangma Friday met senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L.K. Advani to seek support for his candidature as president. <br /><br /></p>.<p>According to Sangma’s office, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader met Advani at the latter's residence in the capital to seek backing from the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance in the presidential elections. <br /><br />"He has gone to meet Advani to seek support for the presidential elections," said an aide of Sangma.<br /><br />Sangma has already got support from Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa. <br /><br />He has met several parties and written to Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, seeking a meeting.</p>
