Kannada film-maker Soundarya Jagadish, who launched his son Snehith in the film Appu Pappu, is all set to release the film in Tamil.

“We are releasing a dubbed version of this film soon. This is a proud moment for us especially since the movie has done so well with the Kannada audience. Now, we are reaching out to a wider section of the audience,” says Soundarya.

The film, which was loosely-based on the comical Hollywood children’s entertainer ‘Dunston Checks In’, is about a boy and a monkey. Starring Abbas, Rekha, Komal and Jennifer Kotwal among others, the film had created a stir among many as it saw an orangutan for the first time on the Kannada screen.

In fact, the movie managed to cross a 100 days in theatres as well. The Tamil version is ready for release and the producer also hopes to release the film in Hindi and Telugu soon. Appu Pappu was directed by Anantharaju and Hamsalekha had composed the music.
