The campaigning for bypolls to 18 Assembly seats and one Lok Sabha segment in Andhra Pradesh came to an end on Sunday.
With the Election Commission strictly prohibiting door-to-door campaigning and barring outsiders including ministers from entering the segments till the last vote is cast on June 12, political parties are now eagerly waiting for the verdict of the voters in the crucial bypolls, considered as pre-finals of the 2014 general elections.
Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal said that preparations for the elections are over and polling will take place from 8 am to 5 pm on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, YS Jaganmohan Reddy the star campaigner of YSR Congress party who was arrested by CBI on May 27, spent most of the campaigning time in the Chanchalguda Jail. His second round of CBI custody ended on Sunday and the 14-day judicial custody will come to an end on Monday.
