Dining hall to be built at Bhagamandala

Bhagamandala-Talacauvery Punarprathishtapana Samithi dissolved; Advisory Committee formed under C Monappa

 Bhagamandala-Talacauvery Punarprathishtapana Samithi president Mathanda C Monnappa had complained that there was no facility for a dining hall at Bhagamandala. Accordingly the meeting has decided to construct a dining hall at the earliest. Assembly Deputy Speaker K G Bopaiah has taken up the responsibility of providing site for the construction of dining hall.
Earlier scrutinising the accounts of the Bhagamandala-Talacauvery Punarprathishtapana Samithi, the meet decided to dissolve the Samithi and constitute an advisory committee led by C Monnappa.

Presenting the budget, Bhagamandala-Talacauvery Punarprathishtapana Samithi treasurer Mathanda Suresh Changappa said that after the work on reinstallation at Talacuvery, brahmakalashotsava and installation of the statue of Agasthyeshwara-Ganapathy in 2006, a sum of Rs 5,51,206 was pending. Later, Rs 35 lakh was estimated for the brahmakalasha of Bhagandeshwara temple at Bhagamandala. With the help of donors a sum of Rs 50,35,729 was raised. A sum of Rs 32,26,832 was spent and Rs 23,69,829 is remanining.

Donor Devi Poonaccha has assured to provide wood for constructing door to Bhagandeshwara temple in Bhagamandala.

Coffee Board former vice-president Dr Sannuvanda Kaverappa said sewage water is joining Triveni sangama. So priority must be given for separating the sewage water from the town.

The committee urged the DC to give priority to preserving sanctity of Cauvery. Accordingly additional personnel should be deployed for security purpose.

DC K H Ashwathanarayana Gowda said that the district administration has decided to set up a police outpost at Talacauvery and installing a sign board to maintain cleanliness.
