Lankan naval men threaten TN fishermen, seize catch

 Sri Lankan naval men allegedly threatened fishermen, who put to sea from here, at gun point near Katchatheevu today and took away their catch, officials said.

Some fishermen told reporters that they ventured into the sea in 10 fishing boats and alleged that the Lankan navy had surrounded them while they were fishing near Katchatheevu.

Fisheries department officials said they had also received information about the incident and were enquiring.
