Speaking at the graduation ceremony of undergraduate second batch of Engineering (2008-12), MTech (2010-12) and MCA (2009-12) of Nitte Mahalinga Adyanthaya Memorial Institute of Technology, Nitte, he said “Indian economy is growing and the country was able to produce great scientists and engineers.
The country has been excelling in areas like space technology, information technology, biotechnology, nano technology and so on and by the year 2050, India will be number one among the advanced countries of the world.”
After felicitating the toppers with gold medal, Chancellor of Nitte University N Vinay Hegde said “It is not the end of the journey of seeking knowledge. Everyday we have to learn something new. Involve yourself in the work assigned to you.”
He called upon the graduates to be a good human beings and respect parents and elders.
Nitte University Registrar Dr Sudhakar Nayak, Director Dr M S Moodithaya and Prof A V M Ramesh Karnik, Director, JKSHIM, Dr Yuvaraju B N, Dr M K Parashuram, Dr Vaman Rao, Dr Sudesh Bekal, Dr Seetharam Shettigar, Dr Subhramanya Bhat, Dr Arun Kumar Bhat, Dr Shashirekha Rai, Dr Janardan Nayak, Prof Vasudeva Shettigar were present.
As many as 586 undergraduates and 156 post graduates in engineering received their degrees.
