Two leopard cubs found in sugarcane farm

Two leopard cubs were found in a sugarcane farm at Chikkagondanahalli in Channarayapatna taluk, Hassan district.

While one leopard was found in the sugarcane farm of Gowdegowda of the village on
Tuesday night, another was found on Wednesday morning. Gowdegowda handed over both the cubs to forest department. The cubs are said to be one month old.

While one leopard cub was released in to R D Halli forest, another cub would be released soon. Forest department officials have set a cage near the sugarcane farm to trap the elusive leopard.
