The Chalavadi Mahasabha district unit has convened a meeting on June 21 in the city to discuss “unscientific” aspects in the Justice Sadashiva Commission of Inquiry report on internal reservation for several sub-sects of the SC/STs.
The meeting will be held at the inspection bungalow at 4 pm, a press release stated.
Members of the community alleged that the survey conducted by the commission has several lapses.
The commission has recommended six per cent of reservation for the small community such as ‘Left-hand Madigas,’ and five per cent for ‘Right-hand Madiga’ and one per cent for others. “The report is not scientific,” contended Dr C Mohan of the Mahasabha.
