Galigandi residents stage protest

Gram panchayat members Girish, Sathish, Vishwa Hindu Parishat member Narayanachari, RSS activist Nagesh, Bhajarangadal member Venugopal and others led the protest. Villagers alleged that the land in dispute was sanctioned for a Muslim family to build house. However, the Chikmagalur based Fenial Mission Trust hatching conspiracy to build church on the land illegally.

Speaking on the occasion, Gram Panchayat Member H N Krishnegowda said that permission cannot be granted to build church at the site. Later, Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer Shivegowda reached the spot assured that permission will not be granted to build church.
