JOIN USThey staged a protest against the officials on Thursday outside ZP office and said that the officials had made an agreement with the private companies while disbursing benefits of state and centre government funded projects for farmers.
Vedike State Organising Secretary Maragunda Prasanna said that misappropriation of over Rs 50 lakh has occurred in Mudigere taluk alone while distributing farm equipment to farmers.
ZP Secretary Kantharaju met the protesters along with Agriculture officials and assured to look into the matter immediately. However, the protesters demanded ZP President to come and interact with them.
ZP Chief Gayathri Shanthegowda met the protesters along with former minister Motamma, ZP Vice-President Manjula Raghumurthy and promised the protesters to take resolution in this regard during the general body meeting.
