Fall of BJP govt good for State: MP

Last Updated 04 July 2012, 19:15 IST

Member of Parliament Sanna Fakirappa said on Wednesday that the State would be better off if the BJP government fell.

Development works had taken a backseat with the factional feud in the BJP and one wonders whether there is a government at all, the MP said during a chat with reporters in the city.

Those in the government have no time to respond to the problems of the people, even as the BJP leaders fight among themselves for the chief minister’s post, he charged. The list of chief ministerial aspirants was growing by the day, Fakirappa said.

There will be mid-term elections in December, if this government falls, he said, adding he will contest in the elections from the BSR party of Sriramulu. He said he would vote for NDA candidate P A Sangma in the presidential poll, since he was technically still with the BJP.
