'Sanskrit Varsity will be started at any cost'

Speaking at the valedictory of fifth Kannada Vijnana Sammelana organised jointly by Swadeshi Vijnanana Andolana-Karnataka and Mangalore University here on Thursday, he said “Sanskrit university will be started in the State at any cost. Most of our age old writings are in Sanskrit. Most of these writings have scientific base, which needs to be studied.”
He said Karnataka was known as the hub of knowledge with regard to IT. Hub of knowledge tag must be expanded to all the fields. Limbavalli said building works in the Mangalore University campus are being slowed down owing to the shortage of fund.

Mangalore University Vice-Chancellor Prof K M Kaveriappa had submitted a memorandum, seeking additional fund of Rs 5 crore from the government to speed up the work on various buildings in the university premises. For which, Minister responded positively and assured that he will urge the government to release the fund. MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik said all of us should develop scientific temperament and follow it even in our houses. Western Ghats Task Force (WGTF) Chairman Ananth Hegde Ahisar, DK district Kannada Sahithya Parishat President Pradeep Kumar Kalkura were present.
