Urging to begin the works on the bypass road on national highway 48, residents of Sakleshpur town submitted a memorandum to the deputy commissioner here on Monday.
Bangalore-Mangalore National Highway 48 passes through Sakleshpur and thousands of vehicles ply on this congested road every day.
The public too finds it very difficult to cross this busy road, complain the residents. The vehicle riders too have to negotiate the pathetic condition of the road worsened by high density of vehicles throughout the day.
National Highway 48 has already been identified as bypass road and compensation paid to the land owners several years ago.
They submitted a memorandum to deputy commissioner Mohan Raj to take steps to complete the bypass road works soon and facilitate smooth riding.
Shop Lingaraju, S M Anandaraj, Pramod and others were present.
