IFIM Business School, Bangalore will be conducting a two-day management development workshop to convey a fresh perspective on the challenges and opportunities in social media.
In today’s marketing context, engaging with consumers in the social media space has become imperative. And engaging with consumers on social media poses both a challenge and an opportunity for brand development.
Given the growing importance of social media marketing, this is the first ever workshop to be conducted by IFIM Business School on the topic. This management development programme, named ‘Brands on New Screen’, aims to provide an outline of social media and how brands can use the various tools to their advantage.
Designed for brand managers, marketing managers, marcom managers, business managers in companies and account planners, account executives in advertising agencies, the day-long collaborative workshop facilitates an understanding of social media’s role in a larger context of advertising and marketing. The workshop also aims at providing clarity on various tools of social media and how best to leverage the same for brand communications.
Lakshimathy Bhat, Programme Director, said, “IFIM is committed to knowledge-sharing with professionals and executives, and the subject of social media marketing is most topical and relevant today. Social media is an important element in the communication mix. Increasingly, various brands have realised that social media can often do what a television can no longer do for them. This programme is equally important for senior and junior brand managers and provides them with newer ideas of brand engagement and opens newer facets of brand communication.”
The programme aims to optimise knowledge and understanding on:
- Social media in the larger context of advertising and marketing
- Various tools — Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.
- Best ways to leverage social media platforms for brand communications
