MUDA house allottees get time till Sept 30

Here is another chance for the beneficiaries of housing scheme by Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) to pay the remaining amount along with the rate of interest before September, 2012.

In a press release on Thursday, commissioner of MUDA C G Betsurmath has stated the beneficiaries of the houses- HIG, MMDU, LIG and EWS in Bogadi, Hebbal, Kyatamaranahalli and Devanur layouts in the city had been earlier given time till January 31, 2012 to make the payment.

While 1,028 heed the appeal, the remaining 742 beneficiaries failed to make the payment.

There are instances of deliberate ignorance on the part of the beneficiaries and also the addressee not found at the house. In such cases, the authority is vested with power to vacate the occupants and take the property into possession and also auction the property to recover the dues.

Following a request from the beneficiaries, it was decided at the meeting of the authority on July 4 to provide yet another chance till September 30 to pay the remaining amount.

The beneficiaries are hereby instructed to consider the same (paper statement) as the intimation, the release added.
