The Chief Minister supported his Cabinet colleague Shobha Karandlaje, who is being accused of taking unilateral decisions in organising Dasara. “I am impressed by my colleague’s ability in managing the event. For the first time all the ministers are taking part in Dasara,” he stated.

On former CM H D Kumaraswamy’s allegations of understanding between the Congress and BJP, the chief minister replied that the entire State knew about the JD(S)’ understanding with the Congress in Lok Sabha polls and by elections to the State Assembly.

Regarding KPCC Chief R V Deshapande’s statement to picket Vidhana Soudha, as a mark of protest against government’s failure, he said that “instead of picketing Vidhana Soudha, let them go to the people.” Winter session of the State Legislature will be held in November. If Opposition has any grievances against the government, let it debate on the floor of the house, he stated.

When asked about Union Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh’s opposition to Gundya project he said, “I will talk to him. The project has almost got clearance. I hope, as a Kannadiga, Jairam Ramesh will understand the need for the projects”.
