Tickets grabbed like hot cakes

Even if you want to pamper yourself by flying to Mysore, you cannot do it as the tickets have been sold out from September 22 to 26. Ticket booking officials at KSTDC, Badami House, Bangalore when contacted said that the package tour tickets have been sold out.

“One way tickets from Mysore to Bangalore are available on September 22 and from Bangalore to Mysore on September 26,” the officials replied. Have the corporate houses bought the tickets in bulk? Ratnakar a PRO at KSRTDC said, “No. Individuals have purchased the tickets online and in person. How can the people resist when the package is so attractive? People of all age group have purchased tickets. Even a common man has been able to buy tickets and stay in a star hotel at least for a day.”

Kingfisher is operating a chartered plane with 65 seats. The package incudes, one night stay in Lalith Mahal Palace, a five star hotel, one lunch and one dinner at the same hotel, sight-seeing and also a visit to Somanathpur, added Ratnakar.

Formal opening to be delayed

Mysore airport which was scheduled to be inaugurated by Union Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel on September 22, will not be inaugurated. However, an officer said that the airport’s formal inauguration will happen when the Central government agrees.
