At least 14 people were crushed to death when a lorry carrying them overturned in Nalgonda district in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday evening, police said.
The accident occurred near Bokkamantulapadu village in Nidamanuru mandal in the district around 6 pm, they Andhra Pradesh Police said.
“Fourteen bodies have been recovered so far while some more persons were feared trapped under the cement-laden lorry,” a senior police officer monitoring the rescue operation said over phone from the scene of the accident.
