<p>Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar on Thursday was back at work in his office at Krishi Bhawan, a day after the week-long stand off between Congress and NCP came to an end. <br /><br /></p>.<p>After NCP’s demand to form coordination committee for better consultation among UPA allies at the Centre and revamp the coordination mechanism in Maharshtra was met on Wednesday, Pawar plunged into a series of meetings with senior officials to tackle the problem of drought – like situation in various parts of the country.<br /><br />The agriculture minister also spoke to Union Food Minister K V Thomas on the status of sowing of Kharif crop in the wake of truant monsoon.<br /><br />Pawar also informed that an Empowered Group of Ministers (EGoM) on drought will meet on Tuesday to review the monsoon situation.<br /><br />“I have planned EGoM on drought on coming Tuesday,” Pawar, who was recently made head of the EGoM on drought, told media.</p>
