45 MLCs nominated to Council specific legislature committees

All the committees will have one year tenure from September 16. The chairpersons and members of the Council specific committees are as follows:

Privileges Committee: K C Kondaiah (Chairperson), Basavaraj Patil Humnabad, Sashil Namoshi, B Chidananda, KLS Swamy, Chandrashekar Kambar, S R Leela, Bharathi Shetty and Srinivasa Poojary.

Committee on Government Assurances: M C Nanaiah (Chairperson), Basavaraj Horatti, D M Puttegowda, H C Neeravari, M A Narayanaswamy, Manohar Maski, S M Anand, S Ravi, M R Doreswamy.

Petitions Committee:  Prathapchandra Shetty, Mallanagouda Nadagouda, S R Patil, Veerakumar Patil, Marittebegowda, Ganesh Karnic, Shashikanth Allappa Naik and Abdul Azim. Council Deputy chairperson Puttanna will head. the committee.

Housing Committee: G K Patil, R V Venkatesh, B R Gurudev, K V Narayanswamy, S Kailash. Council Deputy chairperson Puttanna will head the committee.

Private Members Bill and Resolution Committee:  K B Munivenkatareddy, Veerakumar Patil, Marittebegowda, Tontadarya, H R Srinath, Siddaraju, Mohan Limbekai, Shivaraj Sajannar. Council Deputy chairperson Puttanna will head the committee.

Rules Committee:  V R Sudharshan, Mallanagouda Nadagouda, S R Patil, M Y Narayanaswamy, Mohan Limbikai, N G Medappa. Council Deputy Chairperson Puttanna will head the committee.

Nominations from the Council for eight joint legislature committees have been completed.
Five MLCs each have been nominated to Public Accounts Committee, Public Undertaking Committee, Committee on Subordinate Legislation, Committee on Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Committee and Committee on Papers Laid on the Table, Women and Child Welfare Committee and three for Library Committee. The Speaker is yet to nominate members from the Legislative Assembly to the joint committees.

Meanwhile, the Estimate committees are yet to be reconstituted. The members of the committee headed by Abhay Patil are planning to visit various European countries next week, sources said.
All other committees have completed their foreign trip schedules. Each of the committees can venture on a foreign study tour during their term.
