Gibson proud of team show

West Indies head cricket coach Otis Gibson says he is deeply inspired by his side’s recent series win against New Zealand in all three formats of the game.

The Caribbean side returned to series-winning ways after defeating New Zealand in their two Test matches, the five match one-day series and the two Twenty20 fixtures.

Gibson says the recent wins against the Black Caps, which pulled the West Indies out of the doldrums, are a source of encouragement for him.

“It feels very good. It feels sweet, to win two Test matches in a row is a good achievement, something we have not done in a while,” said Gibson.

“If you look back at this series - the T20s and the one-dayers and the Tests - you will have to agree that we dominated all three formats.”
