<p> A decomposed body of a man was recovered from a drain behind the house of former Haryana chief minister Om Prakash Chautala in New Delhi on Friday morning, police said.</p>.<p><br />“We received a call that a body of a man was seen floating by a passerby in the drain at around 11 am on Rajendra Prasad Road. We rushed to the spot and fished out the body which was in a decomposed condition,” said a senior police officer. The body has been sent to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital for post-mortem. Police identified the victim as Meghru Thakur, 25, who hails from Sitamarhi in Bihar and was living in a slum in Parliament Street area. “When reached his house we found that he was reportedly missing since Thursday,” said the officer.</p>.<p><br />“He might have consumed alcohol more than his capacity and then died after falling into the drain,” said the officer.</p>.<p><br />Thakur’s body also had a head injury which he might have received after falling into the drain, police said. Thakur worked as a carpenter in New Delhi Municipal Council . </p>
