It is not possible to provide infrastructure to Tamaka layout, unless the case on previous Urban Development Authority Commissioner in relation to irregularities is solved, said District In Charge Minister Varthur Prakash.

He was speaking after launching work on Urban Development Authority building at Tamaka Layout, on Saturday.

A case was filed against the previous Commissioner of the Urban Development Authority regarding irregularities in Tamaka layout, constructed in the outskirts of the City, two decades ago.

The Minister has instructed the Deputy Commissioner to solve the case as soon as possible.

Other districts

“There is high demand for sites of Urban Development Authority Layout in other districts as against in Kolar,” the Minister said.

“Lack of basic facilities here is the main reason for this condition. The officers concerned should work with efficiency and honesty to improve the situation,” he added.

“Construction of the building should be completed within four months. Preference should be given to forming new Layouts. Simultaneously attention should be paid to rejuvenating older layouts. I will try to bring this matter to the notice of the government and Urban Development Minister,” he promised.

Addressing the Assembly Council member Naseer Ahmed, the minister said that he is not opposed to construction of garments industry by Naseer.
