Two youths were arrested here on Tuesday for killing a 55-year-old Nepali man, police said. The youths wanted to kill the victim’s son over a feud but they killed the man when they were unable to locate him.

Shameem Khan, 22, who is from Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh, and Manoj, 20, from Azamgarh in UP, were arrested from IP Estate Park following a tip-off on Tuesday, said a police officer.

They had killed Padam Singh, who hails from Nepal, at Yamuna Khadar in Sarai Kale Khan on August 13.

“We received a call that a man was lying in pool of blood. We rushed to the spot. Padam Singh was lying in pool of blood and there were brutal injury marks on his face, neck, shoulder, chest, stomach and other parts of the body,” said the officer.
During investigation, police found that Singh lived with his wife Tara Devi and his younger son Sonu.

Singh’s son Sonu had picked up a small quarrel with three youths — Shameem, Manoj and Aneesh on August 12.

Police also found that these boys were absconding.
Following a tip-off, that one of the accused Shameem Khan, would come down to IP Estate Park, police laid a trap and arrested him.

Shameem told police that Sonu had picked up a quarrel with his younger brother Aneesh.
So, he along with his brother and friend Manoj decided to kill him in revenge.
When they reached Sonu’s house, they found his father, Padam Singh sleeping and Sonu was not there. In anger, they decided to kill his father and then look for Sonu. All three overpowered Singh.

They killed him with the help of a dagger and a stone, and fled to Punjab and different parts of Uttar Pradesh. On Shameem instance,
police arrested Manoj.

Aneesh, Shameem’s brother, is still absconding and raids are on to arrest him, police said.
