DC suspends two nurses at C'ballapur government hospital

 
Lilly Victoria and Philomena are the two nurses suspended. Patients had lodged a complaint to the Deputy Commissioner alleging that nurses were demanding money for vaccination.

In view of the complaint, the DC paid a surprise visit to the hospital on Thursday. The public in the queue informed the DC that the two nurses were receiving money for vaccination and those who failed to pay were just pushed aside.

The DC and District Health and Family Welfare officer Dr Rajeev investigated the matter and the money the two nurses received by the patients were found at the place.  The nurses, who confessed to their fault, however said that the patients were giving them money, though not demanded. Meanwhile, patients also complained that the nurses were demanding money for distributing “Madilu” kits.
