JOIN USIn a rejoinder to the news item, “Insurance cover for OPD, dental too”, published in these columns on August 27, 2012, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance, one of the companies mentioned in the report, has said, “the article gives an impression that we are planning to launch an inclusive health care plan with OPD cover and dental treatments.
We would like to clarify that Bajaj Allianz currently has a product called Tax Gain which covers OPD expenses for the policyholder and spouse on a floater basis. Further, we can only talk about any of our future products once the same is approved by the regulator.”
The company said report attributed the quote to Anand Nandan, naming him as Head of Health insurance of the company. There is no such employee in Bajaj Allianz and the Head of Health Administration Team is Suresh Sugathan, it clarified.
