World heart day run today

Briefing media persons here on Thursday, KMC Hospital Chief Operating Officer Dr Sunil Deshpande said that the run will begin from KMC Bejai at 7.30 am and will conclude at the KMC Hospital near Jyothi Circle. The run will be led by International athlete Vandana Rao where District-in-Charge Minister J Krishna Palemar, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA N Yogish Bhat, SP Dr A S Rao and Manipal University Registrar Dr G K Prabhu will be the guests, he added.

KMC Senior Interventional Cardiologist Dr Padmanabh Kamath said that a complete heart screening package of Rs 777, offering 40 per cent discount, will be launched on the occasion. Further treatments including Angiogram, Angioplasty and CABG procedures ill be performed at a discounted price for a period of one month as part World Heart Day, he added.

KMC (Mangalore) Dean Dr G Rajagopal, Dean MCONS Dr Christopher Sudhakar, Associate Dean MCODS Dr Mohan Baliga, Senior Cardio Thoracic Surgeon Dr Mahendra Mairal and MRPL Deputy General Manager (Corporate Communication) Lekshmi Kumaran were present.
