The Lokayukta police raided the office of the Mandya Urban Development Authority (MUDA) on Thursday with regard to the case of irregularities in the allotment of 107 sites. The officials scrutinised documents at the office.

Meanwhile, anticipatory bail applications were filed in the Lokayukta Special Court on behalf of three legislators named in the case - C S Puttaraju, M Srinivas and A B Ramesh Babu - on Thursday. City Municipal Council member M J Chikkanna and former chairperson of MUDA Vidya Nagendra have already filed bail applications in the case. The Lokayukta police, led by inspector Raju, went through site allotment files since 1996. A few documents have been taken into custody, sources said.

MUDA chairperson Basavegowda said documents related to the allotment of 107 sites were under scrutiny. If it is established that sites were given in violation of norms, the sites would be reclaimed. If houses have already been constructed on these sites, they will be seized, he said.
