Even as the post mortem of the Maoist, who was gunned down by the ANF personnel on Tuesday night, was performed on Thursday, the police are yet to ascertain the identity of the dead.
Teams of police from Tamil Nadu and Kerala arrived in the City on Thursday evening to identify the body.
Speaking to media persons, IGP (Western Range) Pratap Reddy said that the police have not yet ascertained the identity of the dead Maoist.
“We have sent the photographs and details of the dead to other police agencies in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, seeking help from them to identify him,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Superintendent of Police, in a press release, sought public’s help in the process of identification.
