Speaking to the mediapersons here on Monday, he said “the issue is being highly politicised and the BJP government’s tendency to blow the issue out of proportion yields no permanent solution. It is the time for the State government to go ahead to solve the burning issue by holding talks. The Muslim community leaders, Maulvis and Hindu community saints and other leaders should be called for a discussion on the matter. Attempts should be made to solve the issue amicably. As per the records available in  Gram Panchayat the controversial land is referred as “Inam Datthatreya Peeta” and absolutely has no connection with the ‘Baba and Budan Durgas.’ The mile stones also refer the place as ‘Guru Datthatreya Peeta.’

The record says the tombs of the saints ‘Baba’ and ‘Budan’ are located at Nagenahalli about 7 kms from the present controversial site.
‘Datta mala abhiyana’ will be held from Monday till October 4 across the state. As many as 10,000 ‘maladharis will take part in the concluding ceremony at Datta Peeta on October 4. Talks are being held with Chickmagalur DC and SP to seek permission to organise ‘Shobha yathre’ on the occasion.

He said national meet of Sri Rama Sene condemned the attacks on Indians in Australia, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Besides the meet also expressed its opposition to the implementations of the recommendations made by the Sachchar Committee.

He urged the government to take stern action against ‘Love jihad,’ the new idea of Muslim boys luring Hindu girls in the name of love and marriages.
He said State government has misused the power and has illegally encroached the land for the controversial coal based Nagarjuna thermal power project near Padubidri.  Sene will take part in the meeting organised by Nagarjuna Horata Samithi on November 11 to discuss the pros and cons of the thermal power project, he added.  Women’s wing secretary Savitha Ranganath, district co-ordinator Jeethesh Kumar, Rajesh Yermal, Madhukar Mudradi and others were present.
Later, he took part in the Shobha yathre of “Sharada Utsava” organised by the district Unit of Sri Ram Sene.
