Jilted lover kills girl, self

Her family had fixed her marriage with another

 A jilted lover killed his girlfriend and later shot himself dead in Rajasthan’s  Sikar district on Monday morning.

The 22-year-old Naresh, a resident of Fatehpur town shot dead his 20-year-old girlfriend early on Monday morning following some dispute between the two, police said.
The accused, who had been working in Sriganganagar district for the past three years, had arrived in his hometown last night.

The youth then called up the girl and asked her to come on the rooftop, where he shot her dead, police said. The incident occurred about 3 am.

Police said Naresh and the girl were neighbours and were in love.
But the family members of had fixed the marriage of the girl with another man.
The girl was doing her MSc while Naresh had left his studies midway and had been working at a petrol pump in Sri Ganganagar district.

Told family

Before committing suicide, he called up the girl's brother at about 4 am and informed  him about the murder.

He also called up his mother and informed her also of the crime before he found shelter in a farm near his house.

When the police team reached the spot and started investigation, Naresh, who was hiding near his house, shot himself and died on the spot.
Police said Naresh perhaps wanted the girl to elope with him and her refusal must have enraged him, leading to her murder.
