Speaking after issuing a cheque for Rs 5,000 to Sharadamma, who suffered cardiac arrest recently, he advised the beneficiary to use the money for regaining the health.
He said that the government has formulated various schemes for the welfare of poor and downtrodden people. People should make efforts to acquaint themselves of these schemes designed for their benefit and avail the benefits, he suggested.
Sharadamma (24), a resident of Hudukula village in the taluk and belonging to Scheduled Caste suffere d cardiac arrest recently. She ekes out her livelihood by running a petty shop in the village.
Sharadamma has been extended a inancial assistance of a sum of Rs 5,000 under 18pc grants of the Gram Panchayat, he stated.
People interested to help Sharadamma can credit their contribution to Account No 4152 in Pragati Grameena Bank, Hudukula, he has said.
Secretary of Chikkaankandahalli Gram Panchayat, Rajagopal, members Anjinappa, Prakash and others were present on the occasion.
