KSRTC plies more buses to clear rush

The KSRTC has made arrangements for operating more than 1,300 extra buses as mentioned below in addition to the existing schedules, in view of the Gowri-Ganesha festival from September 15 to 18.

- Special buses will be exclusively operated from Kempegowda bus station in Bangalore to Dharmasthala, Kukke Subramanya, Shimoga, Hassan, Mangalore, Kundapur, Sringeri, Horanadu, Davangere, Hubli, Dharwad, Belgaum, Bijapur, Gokarna, Sirsi, Karwar, Raichur, Gulbarga, Bellary, Koppal, Yadgir, Bidar, Tirupathi and other places

- Special buses from the satellite bus station on Mysore Road will be exclusively operated to Mysore, Hunsur, Piriyapatna, Virajpet, Kushalnagar and Madikeri

- Premier special buses from Shantinagar BMTC bus stand to Madurai, Kumbakonam, Trichy, Chennai, Coimbatore, Tirupathi, Vijayawada, Hyderabad and other places in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh

- Special buses will be operated from J P Nagar, Jayanagar 4th Block and 9th Block, Jalahalli Cross, Navarang (Rajajinagar), Malleswaram 18th Cross and Kengeri satellite town to Shimoga, Davangere, Tirupathi, Mangalore, Kundapur, Sringeri, Horanadu, Kukke Subramanya Dharmasthala and other places, based on traffic potential.

- Special buses for passengers who have advance reservation will be operated from Mysore Road satellite bus station towards North-West (Hubli, Dharwad, Belgaum, Bijapur, Gokarna, Sirsi, Karwar, etc.) and North-East (Gulbarga, Bellary, Raichur, Hospet, Koppal, Yadgir, Bidar, etc) of Karnataka. Buses with no advance reservation will be operated from Kempegowda bus station to destinations in North-East and North-West of Karnataka

- Facility to book computerised reservation tickets in advance for the special buses has been provided

- Passengers having reservation should note the place of boarding in their reservation
ticket

- Passengers can book tickets online by logging on to www.ksrtc.in

- Mobile phone booking can be done by sending SMS to 56767

- Advance reservation of tickets for the special and scheduled buses of KSRTC can be done through 173 counters in Bangalore city, 14 in My­s­o­re and 54 counters in Mangalore and other 230 computerised reservation cou­n­ters of KSRTC in other places of State.
