JOIN USA rowdy-sheeter was hacked to death by his rivals in Parappana Agrahara police limits on Thursday night.
The deceased has been identified as Venkatesh, 38, a resident of Sai Apartment, Chennakeshava Nagar. Venkatesh, also known as Painter Venkatesh, was a close associate of notorious rowdy JCB Narayan, police said.
He was recently married and the couple had moved to the apartment after the wedding. He had some land issues with members of a rival gang. He had opened a real estate office at Parappana Agrahara Junction, they added.
The suspects came in a bike, accosted him at the junction and attacked him. He started running for safety. However, the duo chased him, hacked him to death and fled the spot.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital by the police. But, Venkatesh was declared brought dead on arrival.
He was involved in murder and extortion cases, the police said and added that they will arrest the duo soon as they have leads.
