Meeting opposition leaders
Expressing his displeasure over the mode of protesting against the government by opposition parties, the Chief Minister said he would invite suggestions from opposition party members in taking the state on the path of development. “I will hold a meeting with opposition party leaders on October 5 at Vidhana Soudha. Before that, I will be meeting my own party office bearers on October 4 at ‘Krishna’ (home office)” the Cheif Minister said. Stating that the opposition party members who were arrested when they laid siege to Vidhana Soudha recently, the Chief Minister said the members were treated well by the police who had made all arrangements for food and water for them.

“We have faced worst time as opposition party members when the Congress government had arrested us, pressed ‘attempt to murder’ charges and treated us badly for protesting,” he remarked. Stating that he would welcome any suggestions given by the members of opposition in the interest of state, Yeddyurappa said his government would ‘never try to suppress the voice of opposition’.
