Continuing his efforts to strike a balance between two diametrically opposing trends in his anti-graft movement, social activist Anna Hazare on Tuesday assured an anti-Arvind Kejriwal group that he will not join any political party and continue the non-political struggle.

However, he reiterated that he will support “good  candidates”  in 2014 elections.
Hazare is to attend the meeting called by India Against Corruption (IAC)on Wednesday and after that  he would again meet those who are opposed to forming a political party.

Soon after his arrival in the national capital on Tuesday evening, Anna addressed a meeting organised by the group that wants to continue with the apolitical character of the anti-graft movement.

“I will not form a political party, nor join one. I will continue the struggle against corruption in the manner I have been doing it,” said Hazare.

However, he reiterated that he would support good candidates in 2014 elections.
The meeting had activists from parts of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand and Delhi. It was organised by young activists including Rahul Bhartiya, Shivendra Singh, Sharmistha and Sunita Godhara.

With most of the members of his disbanded Team including Kejriwal, Prashant Bhushan, Manish Sisodia and Gopal Rai supporting formation of a political party and the survey results also supporting their drive, it would be difficult for the Gandhian activist to completely reject the process.
