For more than 30 years, the ‘Tiffanys Restaurant’ on Residency Road has been a household name. Their sizzlers and steaks are talked about even today. Good food at an affordable rate has been their unique selling point all these years.

Some of the staff, who have been with the restaurant all through, say that their encouragement comes from the positive feedback given by the regular customers.

While the restaurant was earlier near Vittal Mallya Road, it shifted to Residency Road seven years ago. Vijay, the director of the place, says that the shift has not affected his loyal customers, who still come to the place along with their family members to enjoy a good meal.

“We are known for our continental food. When we first started, we were one of the few restaurants in the City that served authentic continental cuisine. And during weekends, many come in for the English breakfast,” he recollects.

The ambience too is very different from the normal restaurants. Located on the seventh floor, the restaurant has a wonderful view of the City from the top and the pleasant music playing in the backdrop takes one back to Bangalore of the olden days. The friendly staff is ever ready to help one out with the elaborate menu.

“When we opened the place, we had only continental but soon, because of demands from the people, we ventured out into Chinese and Indian cuisine as well,” says Vijay.
A must try here is the ‘Chicken Bomb’, which is a chicken breast stuffed with mushroom and cheese and made into a round ball and fried.

Another item that is very popular among the crowd is the ‘Chicken Gordon Bleau’, which is chicken stuffed with cheese and ham. “Our pastas too are very popular and when it comes to the Indian cuisine, one can try the Appam and stew, which a lot of people have appreciated,” adds Vijay.

The afternoon is always packed with office-goers and students. Mainly because the restaurant offers an elaborate buffet with vegetarian and non-vegetarian delicacies at just Rs 150. “In the buffet, we try to give our customers a mix of all the cuisines so that they can get a wholesome experience of the restaurant,” he adds.

Christmas is when the place comes alive. The restaurant adds in delicacies like stuffed turkey and duck. “The turkey and duck are our signature dishes during Christmas and we get many orders from families living in the locality,” he says.

Open on all seven days of the week, ‘Tiffanys Restaurant’ is located at 7th Floor, Devatha Plaza, Residency Road, Richmond Town.
